Blender: Batch Rename Objects

PREFACE

When working with Arenas or Character mods, you will come across times where you have multiple mesh objects in your Scene list
in blender. You can rename each one by hand but there are easier ways to do multiple renames at once.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic blender skills for the UI
  • Blender 4.x with the MCD plugin by ProWrestlingMods


THE RUNDOWN

Let’s say you have multiple objects in your scene marked like below but you don’t want to manually rename each one by hand. Highlight all of the objects you want to rename at once, then click Edit => Batch Rename. Set the dialog to look like the one below then you can use the Name field to put in the name you want to rename all the selected objects to.
